UTP Robocon Team

UTP ROBOCON Team is a Robotics Engineering Team run by undergraduate students of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). It was initially formed to compete in ROBOCON Competition but it has gradually evolved to serve as a platform for robotics advancement for undergraduates.

The team consists of students from multi-disciplinary backgrounds such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Business Information System, and Information Communication Technology. Our team has participated in various robotics competitions, robotics research, event management, and marketing activities.

ConvoFair 2008

UTPROBOCON team had been invited by Research Engineering Office (REO) to have a Convo academic exhibition. We are one of the luckiest organizations that had been invited between thousands of organizations/clubs that UTP have. Therefore, we take it as advantages for us in letting people aware of our existence. On the 21^st August 2008, we did the preparation of the booth. We prepared a small gamefield within 10 x 10 meter. All the materials for the exhibition were handled by REO. Our task is only to prepare the robots and the gamefield.

Robogamez UNITEN

On Saturday, 6th of September 2008, UTP Robocon Team has sent 4 teams to participate in ROBOGAMEZ 2008 ‘Quest of the Unsolved Maze’ that was organised by UNITEN. The competition was held at Dewan Sarjana, UNITEN. Over 63 teams from various universities and polytechniques have participated in this event. Among the universities that participated were MMU Melaka, MMU Cyberjaya, UTM, UNITEN, UPM, Monash University, UM, KDU, UCSI, UTM KL, and others.
