R-Play 2

 

On 15th August 2008, UTP Robocon team had organized an internal competition which is R-Play 2.R-Play 2 is a continuation competitions of R-Play. R-Play is a medium to build up skills, creativity and also a training session for the new ones. The competition starts at 3.00pm and finish at 6.00pm. Our special guest is Datuk Dr.Zainal Hj Kassim, Rector of University Technology Petronas. All directors, lecturers and students are invited to watch the competition.

Octopus, Warrior, Orix and Bazooka are the teams that are competing in this competition. Each team consist around 12 members and it is divided into two divisions which is Structure & Mechanism and Circuitry & Programming. For the first round, Orix is challenged by Octopus meanwhile Warrior is set against Bazooka. Octopus manages to get 34 points unfortunately for Orix they only get 6 points. Bazooka gets 3 points and for team Warrior they able to gets 6 points Orix is competing with Bazooka for the 3rd and 4th place. Orix gets 10 points however due to violation, a deduction of 6 points make the total score of Orix is 4 points. Bazooka gets 6 points and a deduction of 6 points due to a violation made the team to be in 4th place. Octopus is fighting against Warrior to see who the champion of R-Play2 is. Total score for Octopus in this round is 47 meanwhile Warrior did not manage to score any point.

In conclusion, the overall winner for R-Play2 is Octopus. Congratulations to the winner for all the efforts and hard work that they did. For the losing teams, work hard and take it as challenge. Prove to all of us by being a champion in the next R-Play.
